Kobe Bryant and redemption

Kobe Bryant decided to leave this earth life behind yesterday. He was done, here. .

We are all presented with exit points and he chose to take this one.

We can be grateful for his wonderful example of linking spirit to flesh. His kind of incredible sporting performance is only possible when the two are working as one.

Watch this slow motion compilation of his work - the other players seem to be pretending to play compared to him.

His mind is about half a second ahead of theirs. He anticipates how and where they are going to come for the ball and he’s defending against the move they are going to make NEXT.

He’s connected with the collective unconscious; with Spirit; with Infinite Intelligence. Life coaches call it “flow” .

We can also be grateful that Kobe Bryant gave us an example of an imperfect human - he admitted to a sexual encounter with a woman regarded as non consensual on her part. He was also lauded for supporting women’s sporting teams.

This is an opportunity for us to accept that humans are never just one thing - never just good or bad, but both. It’s an opportunity for us to practice forgiveness rather than denial; to admit that a person can be selfish and mean and also inspiring; call it hypocritical or dishonest if you like; it might also be called confusion. Bit the door to reformation is never closed in the here or the hereafter. If we accept contradiction and imperfection in him we can accept it in ourselves and work on our own spiritual growth.

And with this high-profile departure - the change called death - he’s giving so many of us an opportunity to understand that spirit continues and the body is temporary. If we can peacefully accept his departure, we can more easily do the same when someone closer to us chooses to leave.
